Wherever you are in the Zulu Kingdom you are no more than 3 hours from Africa’s iconic Big 5. Today, however, you’ll be a whole lot closer. We’re hitting the road pretty early (05h00). As you know wildlife, especially predators, are most active around dawn and dusk. Meet your armed ranger who knows the reserve like the back of his hand and listen to a briefing on walking safari etiquette before embarking on your 2 hour walking safari within this Big 5 reserve. Your walking safari will focus on flora and smaller fauna. This reserve only permits travellers staying at their luxury lodges to traverse the park, unless you’re with us of course. After a picnic lunch you will jump into an authentic open safari 4×4 and embark on a 4 hour game drive as we track Africa’s Big 5. At approximately 16h00 we will depart the reserve and head back to Durban.
