Our Big 5 Bucketlist Safari is designed to give you the best chance of seeing Africa’s iconic Big 5 on a day tour within KwaZulu Natal. Enter into a premier reserve and meet your armed ranger who knows the reserve like the back of his hand. Kick it off with a 3 hour morning safari. Your ranger will track predators and big game while keeping tabs on sightings throughout the reserve to ensure that you are in the right place at the right time. This reserve only permits travellers staying at their luxury lodges to traverse the park, unless you’re with us of course. Time for a hearty lunch next door as you take it all in. Discuss conservation and get a deeper understanding of Africa’s wildlife and ecology. After lunch we’re heading back into the reserve. Jump into your safari vehicle and embark on another 3 hour game drive in a different part of the reserve. At approximately 16h00 we will depart the reserve and head back to Durban.

Wow. What an experience. We saw so many animals very close up. Clinton was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Determined to find the lions and we did. Snacks were great and a selection of drinks At lunchtime unexpected but very welcome. Others who had gone to other reserves didn't have as great an experience as we did or see so much. Looking at staying in a lodge next time. Thank you for making a really special memory. - Emma
We had a great driver to pick us up from Ballito, Durban. He gave us a lot of general information about South-Africa, also "Zulu"-information, local market visit. This was already a big highlight. The Safari itself with the driver was also amazing. As it was very hot that one day we didn't see lions and elephants. Although the driver really did his best and drove to the place where the elephants normally are, but we just didn't spot them. But we saw a lot of other great animals, rhino's, buffels, zebras, antilopes with a lot of new bornes. Our Safari driver was very sympathetic, had good information about the animals. The short lunch break with drinks and small snacks were great. The aerea of the private reserve is so beautiful with wunderful trees and rivers. We were there End November 2025. It is very green and amazing. I can really recommend this Safari. I would book it any time again. - Alexandra
Great day out. After NCL mucked us about by cancelling port calls, Tripadvisor did everything they could to accommodate us even though NCL cancelled port call less than 24hrs before. Safari was amazing and well worth day out. Rangers were excellent and very friendly and knowledgeable. - Richard
