Wherever you are in the Zulu Kingdom you are no more than 3 hours from Africa’s iconic Big 5. Today, however, you’ll be a whole lot closer. We’re hitting the road pretty early (05h00). As you know wildlife, especially predators, are most active around dawn and dusk. Enter Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve for a 2 hour morning game drive in our Hyundai H1 vehicle (this is not an open safari 4×4). Hluhluwe-Imfolozi is renowned for Southern White Rhino — after all it did save them from extinction. Spot of lunch at Hilltop Camp? Time to head into a premium private game reserve! This reserve only permits travellers staying at their luxury lodges to traverse the park, unless you’re with us of course. Jump into an authentic open safari 4×4 with an experienced ranger to track those elusive big cats. At approximately 16h00 we will depart from the reserve and head back to Durban.
